The Bible is clear that patriarchy is God’s design.  It is not meant as a punishment on women, but rather it is meant to be a beautiful picture of the relationship between God and his people. 

From Genesis 3:16 in the Old Testament where God declared that man would rule over woman to 1 Peter 3:6 in the New Testament where God commanded women to regard their husbands as their early lords, Patriarchy is firmly established in the Bible.

But those of us Christians who still hold to the truth of Biblical Patriarchy must also acknowledge another truth.  That some men sinfully use the power of patriarchy, they pervert it and use it to feed their sinful desires rather than using it as God intended it to be used for good.

And this is what I will be talking about in today’s podcast – the dark side of patriarchy.

Warning – I will be sharing some very disturbing stories in this podcast that I have heard from people who have written me over the years. But we as believers in Biblical Patriarchy need to recognize and know the reality of these perversions of patriarchy that are going on around us – even in Christian churches.
