Is It Wrong for a Christian Man to Desire a Virgin Wife?

A viral post has been circulating online claiming that Christian men place too much importance on a woman’s virginity when choosing a wife.

Some are saying that if a woman has repented of past sexual sin, then her past should not matter at all.

Others are pushing back, arguing that virginity still has value and should not be dismissed.

Is it wrong for a Christian man to desire a virgin wife?

The answer is not as simple as many are making it out to be.

The Bible teaches both grace and standards—not one or the other.

In my latest article, I break down this issue from a biblical perspective and explain why this is not an either/or question, but a both/and truth.

  1. There is a reason that a man sold his virgin daughter. It has high value. Keeping it was important to 3 people. The Father, the future husband and the daughter. I plan on marrying more then one virgin. Ask and it shall be given. To him who believes it, it is his. Nobody loses out either if I take more than 1 virgin. If you think God is limited, then your blessings are limited to that belief.
Seeking a virgin is definitely not wrong and should not have shame attached to it. This is part of why polygyny is godly. You can have both the virgin and the repented woman and another if you desire.
